and accidents involving children.
The course will show you how to deal with bleeding, broken bones, scalds,
burns, allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, CPR fits & seizures and much
more.
You never know when you will need the skills learned on this fun and easy
course.
If you are working with children
of any age or are a professional employed in the childcare sector, it
is vital that you are able to deal with any medical emergencies and accidents
that might happen.
Our Paediatric First Aid course provides excellent training for teachers,
child care staff, nursery asistants, childminders, school bus drivers
and monitors, and meets all the requirements of OFSTED under the guidance
issued by DfES.
If your workplace has only
a few employees or is low risk, you may not need to have your first aiders
complete the 3 day First Aid at Work course.
The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course lasts only one day and meets
HSE requirements where your risk assessment shows that you need first
aid cover on a lesser scale.
For higher risk workplaces
or those with larger numbers of staff, the HSE 3 day First Aid at Work
Course, meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations
1981.
Covering all aspects of first aid and CPR in the workplace, this comprehensive
course will equip first aiders with all the skills to deal with emergencies.
Accident reporting and legal responsibilities are also covered during
the course.
Qualified first aiders with
the HSE First Aid at Work certificate need to refresh their qualification
within 3 years of initial training.
This 2 day course refreshes skills and covers changes to protocols and
legislation regarding first aid in the workplace. The requalification
course must be completed prior to the expiry date of the First Aid at
Work certificate.
Automated External Defibrillators
(AEDs) are now becoming more and more commonplace, with them being found
in places such as shopping centres, supermarkets, train stations and airports
to name a few.
They are simple to use (with a bit of training) and can literally save
lives - the survival rate where an AED is used can improve from below
6% to over 70%.
This 3 hour module can also be taken to update already held first aid
training.
